SISA offers web streaming for mobile and PCs

SISATEL is a new platform that allows the users to view videos through a process of progressive download or streaming. With a motive to break all barriers in video communication, SISATEL enables the users with both mobile streaming as well as streaming on PCs.

Users can choose to send downloaded clips or recorded ones, which will be played on the recipient’s device through progressive download.

How are videos streamed?

Video streaming requires the following things:

  1. A media source in a format which can be streamed
  2. A server software which can play the clip
  3. A player that can play the clip

Benefits of progressive download:

Video clips can be watched on any device that is connected with internet. Thus, irrespective of a mobile or a PC, videos can be accessed without any difficulty.

There is no need to download the video on the users’ device to view the video clips. This means, no memory space shall be consumed in order to watch videos of unlimited size.

Users do not have to wait to watch the videos anymore. Streaming video clips buffer as the viewers already starts watching. This saves time and naturally holds on to the interest of the viewers.

Not downloading any of the video clips also rules out any chances of tampering with the video clips. There have been a number of indecent video tampering cases in the world, but with streaming technology this possibility can be kept out of the way.

Progressive download helps the broadcasters know who and how many have viewed a particular piece of content. This is a great way of controlling who watches your content.

There is no risk of the recipients’ device to get VIRUS, as no compulsion of download is there. For the same reason there is also no threat of piracy.

How vMessage of SISATEL works?

As a sender sends a vMessage from SISATEL platform, it goes to the server first. To enable the video message from running on all devices the clip is saved in 24 different formats. Next, a link of that clip is sent to the device of the recipient. As the recipient clicks on the link the video content recognises the resolution and player of the device and streams instantly. If the recognised device is a mobile then the video plays on RTSP (Real-time Streaming Protocol) and on RTMP (Real-time Media Player). This way the viewer gets the best video quality possible.
